Soroptimist International Siaya Club was chartered on 13th June, 2026 at a colourful ceremony held at the Distinction Garden Hotel Siaya. The Charter Officer was Soroptimist International Africa Federation (SIAF) President Mary Muia and the club Charter President Scolastica Madowo Masidis. It was chartered with 19 active members. Also present at the charter wer SIAF Extension and Membership chair Judith Apondo, Soroptimist International Union of Kenya (SIUK) President Jesca Oredo, SIUK Past Presidents Mary Theresa Odongo and Julliete Wamiri.
